Who I am.

Cassandra Ly was born and raised in Vancouver into a family of 5. Being the youngest, Cassandra was always brought along to her old brother and sister’s swimming, drawing, chinese classes. As she watched her siblings involve themselves with extra circular activities, it motivated her to do the same. At a young age, Cassandra involved herself with sports which led her to swim competitively for the past 11 years and play club volleyball for 4 out of her 5 years in highschool. She graduated from Vancouver Technical Secondary and received awards for Top Female Athlete of the Year, Gold Medal for over 500 hours of service, and the Duke of Edinburgh at the Gold Level. Throughout highschool, Cassandra involved herself in community work which included volunteering to coach elementary school soccer, volunteered coached with her swim club, officials club, and was Co-President of her schools’ Free the Children club which raised money to build a school in a developing country. After highschool, Cassandra earned herself a job with the Super Sharks Swim Club as assistant coach, as well as a job at Aritzia as an Sales Associate. While Cassandra balances two jobs, friends and family, she finds time to continue her post secondary education at Capilano University.
