I am a marketing management student in the school of business at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).  I hope to one day, after obtaining a Bachelors of Business Administration degree, have a career in real estate, tourism, public relations, marketing management, or investor relations.

I believe that my education at BCIT will help me to attain my goals and reach my potential. Over the next couple of years, I will be showcasing some of my school work and accomplishments on this portfolio.

New Semester

A new semester has started at BCIT. Research (including focus groups and in-depth interviews) and projects have already started.

My classes this semester are: Public Relations and Event Marketing; Direct Response Fundamentals; Advertising Design/Production; Computer Applications in Marketing; Sales Promotion Management; Business Law; Marketing Research 1.

UPDATE – Clubs and Events

I proposed to the club that BCIT AIM adopt an official philanthropy to provide fund raising and volunteer opportunities to students. This would differentiate us from other clubs and allow allow us to contribute positively to our community.

The proposal was approved!

UPDATE – New Project and Reformatted project Section

I reformatted the Marketing Case Studies and Leader’s Forum sections of School Projects. This was done to ease readability and accessibility by adding headings. Outcomes of each project are now easier to locate.

A new section was also created to showcase my recent Management Project. A lengthy project done in student companies.

CLUB AND EVENTS

New section (Clubs and Events) created to focus on the networking and marketing events that I attend and on the club that I have joined.

In January, I joined the BCIT Association of Integrated Marketers (BCIT AIM) as a Junior Associate. I am now Vice President, Finance of the club.

As a member of this club I have so far attended two networking events: The Social and the Round Table Series on Social Media in Marketing.
