Guests from different business backgrounds were invited to our organizational behaviour course to discuss different topics with each of the four groups.  The guests included:

• Christine Sims; Retail director of Hills of Kerrisdale and Blue Ruby
• Adrian Eden; Founder of Yaletown SEO
• Mary Desprez; Former General Manager of the Belfry Theatre
• Drew LeClair; Vice-President, Operations of Cymax Online Stores

Our group’s topic was teams.  We were required to write a paper explaining the experiences of these professionals in regards to teamwork, creating teams, solving team conflict, rewarding teams, and ensuring that all members are contributing.

Outcomes

Their experiences and stories were an engaging and interactive way of learning from people in the business community about how to form, maintain, and excel in team settings.
