So I’m your next stop.
Hey there! Have fun looking around my E-Portfolio! I’m pretty sure it will give you an idea of what life in BCIT is like. You can also look at my projects and team projects. This e-portfolio itself is an assignment for completion of BSYS 1000.

If you’re a fresh graduate, I’m sure you’re eager to land that dream job. One way of doing that is attracting your future employer’s attention! Well, yes, e-portfolios help a lot, but there’s one more way you can get your name out there.
To complete another requirement for BSYS 1000, I made a word-processed newsletter of myself. Who I am, what I’m good at, why I’m the right person to hire. Start making one yourself now!

Projects | Comment (0)Mosaic’s Team Charter
My team Mosaic drafted a Team Charter for our Organizational Behavior and Communications class. Here is a copy of Mosaic’s Team Charter. Putting together a team charter is no easy task. It takes time and effort to get to know people well and get along with them to effectively function as a team. Team charters are important because they specify a team’s goals and help the team stay on track.
Projects | Comment (0)Excel is FUN!
Right now, I am learning how to make business models using Excel. Michael Girvin has a really helpful website about Excel that uses interactive learning, and his approach is very encouraging. And I agree with Michael! Excel sure is FUN! It lets you make cool stuff such as business models. In fact, here is one business model that I made for my BSYS 1000 Lab. It’s about car dealerships, and it really eases business processes! To find out how I did it, go to this page. Have fun!

American Production and Inventory Control Society. I knew you were wondering what APICS was! APICS is an association for operations managers. It upholds operations management concepts not only in the workplace, but also in academic institutions. I went to one of their dinner meetings a couple of months ago. And since it was a dinner meeting, I have to say that I loved the food. But more importantly, Larry Berglund, the guest speaker for the evening talked about corporate social responsibility. It makes me proud that operations managers are actually concerned with the environment and its sustainability. I also met some operations professionals, and I was more than eager to chat with them as they were really nice people.

In our marketing class, we work on case studies to practice the marketing skills we learn in lectures and labs. Marketing is a really interesting course, because it is dynamic, and it basically studies the environment. The following case study looks at Canty, a fictional organization that manufactures wall panels and that is also trying to come up with an effective pricing strategy for its new product, the Decoline. Here’s our team’s take on it.

I made a tutorial on how to use footers in MS Powerpoint 2007. It was a project for BSYS 1000,, and the goal was to compile tutorials from business students to compose a website that will enable future students to learn computing skills online instead of buying textbooks. It’s awesome that BCIT cares about our wallet!
Here’s a sneak peek!
Step 1 : Starting MS Powerpoint 2007
Click on the Start button located in the lower left corner of your screen. Open MS Powerpoint 2007 by clicking on it under the sub-menu of Microsoft Office.
