I have been producing electronic music under the alias Psidream for well over 10 years and have been releasing my music on vinyl, CD and MP3 for about 7 years. The style of music that I have focused on is called Drum & Bass and is not as popular here as it is in the United Kingdom and Europe, but there is still a following in Vancouver. While I have enjoyed having released music on about 50 labels over the years, with over 100 of my tracks available for purchase in various formats, I always had the idea of running my own record label in the back of my mind. In 2008, I set up my own label with long-time friend and production partner Pacific called Nightfall Recordings and this has been the main outlet for our musical output ever since. Above is an image of our first vinyl release.
While audio production is the backbone of my interest in electronic music, over the years, I also became involved in the DJ circuit and organized various tours for myself all over the world. I have DJ’d in clubs and parties all over North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, and hope to return to those places during my vacation time in the future. I love to travel and this was a perfect way to explore that interest at a minimal cost. Above, you will see an image from a party I played at in Paris, France. It was one of the best crowds I’ve played for, and Paris is a beautiful city.
