In the final semester of the DRM program we did a Managerial Accounting course that I quite enjoyed. At the end of this course we tackled a projected income statement, proforma balance sheet, ratio analysis and a balanced scorecard for the LSC. I have uploaded the excel spread sheet that we worked with in this case as an example of my ability to use excel.
We had two accounting courses in the DRM program, the first concerned basic principles and the second was on managerial accounting. Most students dread this in our program, for me I enjoyed it. I have a detailed mind and am good at getting my head around numbers. I can appreciate something ‘black & white’ like accounting where there is usually a stepped process of how to solve problems.
People either get or do not get accounting and luckily for me it was my best course. I believe that the basic principles of accounting will carry me far in my future endeavors.
