How BCIT Is Helping Me Become The Best Employee

One of the reasons I chose to go to BCIT is the fact that all most every single grad gets a job right away due to the amazing skills learned during their program. BCIT is an amazing school to go to if you have an idea of what type of career you’re looking for. This definately isn’t the school to go to if you’re not ready to work hard.

To achieve your full Bachelor of Business Administation Degree, it onyl takes 3 years compared to most other institutions where it requires atleast 4. That is due to the fact that all of your courses are assigned to you. They are specific to your program to help you learn the most in the least amount of time. It also helps save the hassle of choosing courses and being forced to take filler ones.

BCIT also focuses mainly on the aspect of team work. You’re divided into sets of approximatly 25. Those 25 people become pretty much your friends and family due to the fact that they are in every single class with you. 5 days a week. This is also on top of the enormous amounts of studying required to complete this program. You usually end up going to the 24 hour library after class and staying until atleast 1am, while you’re there, you’re guaranteed to see atleast 4 other people there from your set.

In your set you are actually divided up again into smaller teams of approximately 5. These are the people you will do every project, assignment, and presentation with. The benefit to this is that you don’t really get a chance to learn how people work together before choosing these groups, just like in the working world. You have to learn to work with these strangers to create amazing work. You need to focus on their strengths, and avoid conflict or else it could be a very, very long year working with them.

The course load in BCIT is quite intese. In my first semester of my first year I had 7 courses. It gives a new meaning to the term full time student. I didn’t get to choose which ones they were or my schedule for them. At first I was aprehensive about this but as time went on I’m thankful for it. It definately teaches you to work hard and efficiently which is more than benefical for the future.

These and many other reasons not mentioned yet are why BCIT had helped prepare me for a long and succesful career. I don’t know any other institution that can prepare me for the working world like this one. As well as be surrounded by so many like-minded individuals who are here to work hard and are so moivated to do their best just like me.
