Trip to Dubai

I have always enjoyed travelling. Last summer I had the opportunity to go to Dubai and had the chance to experience the culture there. I stayed at the newest hotel there named “Atlantis the Palm” which is located on the Palm Jumeirah Island. Understanding that Dubai is actually a desert, it was unbelievable to see in person that they were able to make a sea in the middle of a desert. It had no signs of being a desert except for the extreme heat because you can see tall palm trees along highways and everywhere in the city. According to my tour guide, the government there spend $500 US per tree every month to provide water supplies underground for the individual trees. Above is the picture of the hotel I stayed in.
