Audio Engineering.

Well, as you may know, from reading other sections of this little blog I have here, I have a diploma in audio engineering. A lot of people are often confused as to exactly what audio engineering is. Let me clear it up for you… Audio engineering is the art of recording a sound source. This sound source can be anything, but is most often some sort of musical instrument.

I got this diploma from a school called Hot Sole Music. At the time it was based out of Port Coquitlam, BC. Hot Sole has since expanded and partnered with famous record producer Garth Richardson. It is now known as Nimbus School of Recording Arts, and is located in Vancouver, BC.

Audio engineering is a big passion of mine. I have been a musician for the better part of my life (I’m a drummer who sometimes dabbles in some guitar or keyboard), but I’ve found I enjoy being on the “other side of the glass” much more. I spend a lot of my time researching and looking into various theories and recording techniques. Sadly, at the moment I don’t have nearly as much time, or as many resources, as I’d like to be constantly bettering myself as an engineer.

If you happen to be interested in my services as an engineer, or would like to hear a demo track I’ve done, feel free to contact me.
