One of my greatest hobbies is playing, watching, or coaching any team sport. By far my favourite sport is basketball and I have had a great love for the game and the Los Angeles Lakers from as far back as I can remember. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Canucks as much as the next guy but I’m not happy with disappointments year in and year out. Anyways, I’ve been a proud and loyal supporter of the Lakers, but more importantly I have a great respect for Kobe Bryant and idolize his game, attitude, and passion for the game. It is one of my goals to go watch Kobe play the game at Staples Center in L.A. during his prime. This could possibly be the longest post on the net if I continued with my love for the Lakers so I’ll stop here. haha

Survey: Social Values

For a marketing project we were required to take a social values survey, which in the end, categorized us into certain tribes. This survey assessed our answers to questions regarding human social values and behaviour in a manner so as to allocate them under the different tribes. The project included writing a report on the tribe you were put into and discussing what aspects of that tribe affect my personal behaviour as a consumer.

For another marketing project we were meant to visit the hot product news web page and choose a product to do a write-up. We were to research the product to define what we believed to be the primary marketing challenge for that product or service. We needed to include in our report a ‘best guess’ as to whether the product would be successful based on our resolution to the problem at hand.

We were put into teams with unfamiliar people and expected to work and collaborate together to make a charter that summarized our teams expectations and procedures regarding many aspects of teamwork. Each person had something different to bring to the table and it was on us to sanction a charter which would rule and guide our team.
