Songs of the Heart 2009
The UBC Chinese Collegiate Society is pleased to host the annual charity show [Songs of the Heart] once again! This year, we are working alongside the Sacrificium Society of Productions to bring you the most memorable charity drama show of the year.
All net proceeds will be donated to our charity of choice – the BC Centre for Ability – a non-profit organization that provides services to children, youth, and adults with neurological, physical and developmental disabilities, and their families. Ticket sales and donations will contribute to helping them fight their daily obstacles and helping them accomplish their goals in spite of many challenges. I was the house team manager for this event. Some of my job duties included overseeing six members of the house team, assigning task to each member of the team according to their strengths, managing ticket sales and donations, welcoming guest and providing them with booklets, intermission snacks and beverages. In addition, I participated and contributed for rehearsals by helping out where necessary including labour work and working with the actors twice a week .
