Welcome to my E-Portfolio! My name is Sarah Henderson and I am currently attending the Marketing Management Program, Communications option at the British Columbia Institute of Technology for a future career in the Marketing Field. I recently just graduated from Rick Hansen Secondary School with honours and many memorable memories. My future career goals after graduating from BCIT I plan to attend a established business organization that specifies in the advertising field. My future goals is to contribute through my hard work ethic, creative personality, and the many skills that I have already learned and will learn here at BCIT.

In my Business Information Systems class we were assigned to make a one minute powerpoint presentation with various media, explaining, “Why we came to BCIT!”. Our Marketing group; Mosaic Marketing Corp. decided to create our video on the various options of BCIT, and it basically shows that anyone can come to BCIT!

I am always inspired by music and I am constantly downloading new songs and albums here and there. Without out music in my life I would become very bored and dull to be honest. Well here is a song that I have recently found…..well lets say it found me while I was watching the movie Zombieland. I quite enjoy at the moment and I hope you enjoy it as well. The most important accomplishment to this date in my life to me has been my soccer career. I have been playing soccer since I was six years old and been playing it since. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and to be honest will keep being a part of my life for the rest of my life. From the hilarious stories of staying in hotels to the unforgettable trips to Nationals and Las Vegas. Soccer has had a huge part in who I am today and has shaped my personality and work ethic for the future. It all started in 2007 when my team and I, the Abbotsford Mariners won Provincials. Then in the fall we were off to Nationals in Sherwood Park, Alberta. There we came 7th in Canada. The following year we won provincials again, however that year was not a national year. We were unstoppable, we were teammates and most importantly we are sisters. The last tournament that my team and I attended was in this last Feburary of 2009 when my team and I went to Las Vegas for a tournament. Memories and experiences from that tournament will stay with me forever. So please go ahead and look at the pictures above! During the first week of October we were informed that we were going to have four very successful internet experts at our Business Informations lecture. The purpose of this presentation was to give us students a insight in the beauty of the internet world and where these four individuals started and where they are now in their careers. Two of the speakers included John Chow and Rebecca Bollwitt. I found this two speakers very informational to me personally because they gave excellent insight in the blogging world. It was very interesting to see hear the success stories from internet blogging. Another important point that I remember clearly was John Chow’s 10 points on how to make you blog successful. One of those points was to always get their email. He said once you have their email then your set to go!

In my Business Informations Class I was assigned o come up with a excel spreadsheet, during one of the labs. The task was to explaining the numbers associated with a Car Dealerships Commission. I found this one of the most difficult assignments so far in the course. So please go ahead and look at the excel spreadsheet above!

In my Organizational Behaviour class my team and I were assigned to create a professional team charter. The team charter is a document that we would refer to if any problems were to arise, deadlines for team projects, rules within our team ect; We all received a perfect grade on this assignment.
