I am a member of the amazing BCIT club, BCITMA. We are a chapter of the AMA, American Marketing Associaton. Also see BCAMA.

I help out any way I can with events or advertising. We currently have a fashion show we are putting on in February, and a 3 part speakers series Connect. Create. Captivate. starting with Sue Clement, How to Network Like a Pro. I helped with the poster (left) by creating the background image for it. Click on the image to your left to view full.

The BCITMA is heading to New Orleans soon to take on the U.S. schools in a case study competition that will feature Unicef.

They are also putting on a networking event, Smoozapalooza along with AIM and The BCIT Alumni. Schmoozapalooza provides a networking opportunity for BCIT Marketing Communications students, past grads, and industry professionals. This will be an incredible event which I hope to be a part of, I just signed up for a volunteer position.

I created a marketing plan with my team as a project for my Marketing course I took in March 2009.
It was an intensive project which in the end taught us a lot about preparing a marketing plan for a CEO of a company. We also had to present in front of the class using a PowerPoint presentation that went really well.

My name is Travis Bonneteau, I am a British Columbia Institute of Technology student in beautiful B.C., Canada. I am enrolled in the Marketing Management Program specializing in the Tourism Management option. I am a member of the BCIT Marketing Association, a chapter of the AMA, where I help out with events and advertising. I am also part of the Professional Convention Marketing Association at BCIT where I handle first year liaison duties.

I have worked in different tourism fields including cruise lines and tour companies, have a look at my resume. I am currently employed by Opus Hotel in Vancouver. My career aspirations are to one day become a marketing director of a hotel, resort, or a Destination Marketing Organization. I have traveled extensively around the world and have realized that the Tourism Industry is where I belong.

I also run a DJ company Good Time DJ’s, and I enjoy creating logos, graphics, and websites in my spare time which you can see here.
