Fourth: Adjust your callout’s colours and moving it around

Your callout probably has been set with a fill or border you may not want. To adjust all the attributes of your callout, click on it, then go to the Format tab. From there, under the Shape Styles tab you can customize the border colour and colour fill of your callout. You can also give it a number of different effects.

You can see the box in the picture below.

You can also move your callout around by selecting it with your mouse, moving your mouse around over the callout until the cursor becomes a cross shape, and then dragging the callout to its a new location

Fifth: Add text to your call out box

If you want to add text to your callout box, simply click on it and start typing. From there you can adjust the colour and font of your text by right-clicking over the text, or by using the mouse to select all of the text and going to the Home tab. From there under the Font tab you can pick all sorts of options to format your text.

All done? Putting the final touches on your callout box

If you want, there are still a lot of formatting options if you want to make your callout box even more distinctive. If you want, you can animate your callout box by going to the Animations tab, then choose Custom Animation to bring up the Custom Animation box. Or, if you want to further format the look of your callout, under the Format tab you can change its shape or draw it freeform under the Insert Shapes tab. You can add WordArt from the WordArt tab and change the arrangement of the callout with the Arrange tab.

You can also modify your callout by right-clicking on your callout, which will allow you to cut, copy or paste, add hyperlinks, or adjust the size or position of your callout box. Try a few things to see what works for you, and have fun!
