My name is Zack Yang and I am currently a student at BCIT taking International Trade and Transportation. After this two year program I plan on taking the Bachelor’s of Business Administration program at BCIT as well. My career goal is to work in an area of import/export between Canada and China.
I will be updating this blog with furture projects from my program at BCIT. Feel free to leave any comments and to give me constructive feed-back.
One thing that I really enjoy doing is taking a good drive on a sunny day. Weather in Vancouver can be so warm and relaxing, so what’s better than pairing my driving with awesome music. Cruising to good music is my ultimate relaxation!
Shanghai can be considered as my third home and I am proud to say that the next World Expo 2010 will be held in Shanghai China. The event will take place from May 1 – October 31, 2010. It is expected to generate the largest number of visitors in the history of the world’s fairs in terms of gross numbers. This will be an event where all the countries of the world will gather and showcase their lastest innovative technologies. Here is an official preview of the World Expo 2010.

This is another case study which we worked on for marketing. For this case we had to devise a pricing strategy for Canty International, an imaginary company, for its new wall covering product. In this case, we had to analyze the different possibilities for our pricing and to take variable factors in to account. In the end, our price must not only maximize profit for Canty International, but to also satisfy its customers.
This is a case study which we did for Marketing. It analyzes the market for smart phones in which case Apple’s iPhone dominates the North American smart phone market shares. On the other hand, Symbian dominates the European and Asian market shares for smart phone operating systems. Under these circumstances, we were to analyze the market and to devise a solution and plan of action for Research In Motion to help its Blackberries to gain brand power.

This assignment is called the Team Charter for our Organizational Behaviour course. The Team Charter states our mission statement for the team. All the projects that my teammates and I will be working on together for the semester are posted. It also lists the roles and expectations from all of the group members throughout the semester.

This is a project which we had to do for our Business System class on MS word 2007. For this project, my group and I did an introduction to Microsoft using content primarily from Wikipedia with some added features like Top Web Links and index.
