Zi's E-Portfolio

Welcome to my e-Portfolio!  I will soon be showcasing here examples of my work.  I am currently a student in BCIT taking a BBA focused on financing.  My career goal is to work for an financial services firm specializing in investing.  If you wish to contact me, please click on my Contact page and fill in the form there.

One of my hobbies is to play tennis, even in the rain. I’m not at professional level or anything, but I enjoy playing to the fullest of my abilities, as that’s what living a life is. I’m the person in black in the pictures. Please enjoy.

So one day I was in an internet chatroom, wandering around and looking at other people’s comments. There was a on-the-spot web event going on in one of the chatroom, labeled “finance and investment.” Curioused about what it was, I decided to sit in and listen to the speakers. The event lasted for an hour, with 2 guests speaking for about 30 minutes each on finance and investment, respectively. From it I learned that to be successful in investing, you must only trust yourself and no one else, for it may ruin your ability to make rational decisions. However, one could argue that input from others can help you make more rational decisions by incorporating different views. Which is true? Decide for yourself.

So one day I woke up and thought to myself: “What exactly determines the success of one person?” Is it fame, money, status? Or is it family, friends, and dreams? I pondered on this question for a while, then I realized I was almost late for school. I rushed out of my house and hurried, forgetting the question in the process. Perhaps the first step to being successful is to be on time.

This is a group assignment for our organizational behaviour course. For this assignment, my team and I came up with a team charter to regulate team activity and to boost team performance. Please enjoy.
